BOARD
INFORMATION
ORYF,
Inc. is a 501(c)(3) public charity. All
donations are tax deductible.
ORYF is an all volunteer organization.
We
are always looking for help with all positions
listed below, please let us know
if you are interested in getting involved at the
Board or Coordinator level.
Please

description of the
positions is included below on this web page
(titles correspond with state or
Pop Warner requirements).
President
and Football Commissioner
Attends monthly league meetings. Oversees all
program operations. Coordinates
insurance issues. Coordinates all licenses and
permits. Selects head coaches for
all teams. Approves all assistant coaches for all
teams. Serves as liaison with
local school departments, town officials, league and
regional officials,
national Pop Warner officials, and referee
coordinators. Oversees equipment
acquisition. Ensures compliance requirements with
Secretary of State's Office
and Criminal History Systems Board. This is a Board
position.
Vice
President and Playoff Coordinator
Attends monthly league meetings when President is
unable to attend. Attends all
meetings concerning football playoffs and oversees
playoff travel and all Pop
Warner playoff requirements. Oversees equipment
storage and inventory. Oversees
issuance and collection of equipment and uniforms.
This is a Board position.
Treasurer
Oversees financial operations of the organization.
Works with the President to
pay all invoices and bills. Ensures compliance with
IRS, DOR, and Attorney
General's Office. Serves as a liaison with
organization's accountants,
bookkeepers and bank. Makes bank deposits on behalf
of the organization. Ensures
payment of all league fees. Ensures collection of
all registration and related
fees. This is a Board position.
Clerk/Secretary
Attends monthly league meetings when President and
Vice President are unable to
attend. Ensures coaching staff compliance with First
Aid, CPR, and Pop Warner
coaching certifications. Assists President with
governmental compliance issues.
Keeps corporate minutes, bylaws, and policies up to
date. This is a Board
position.
Registrar
Attends all league meetings dealing with
registration processes, identification
cards and photographs, and general league and
national registration compliance.
Coordinates participant registration process.
Ensures all participant, parent,
coach, and team paperwork is in order. Works
cooperatively with Scholastic
Coordinator to determine participant academic
eligibility. Works cooperatively
with Treasurer to ensure collection of registration
fees. This is a Board
position.
Cheer
Coordinator
Attends all league meetings dealing with cheer
issues. Oversees the program's
cheerleading operations. Recommends to the President
the head coach and coaching
staff selections for cheer teams. Oversees uniform
acquisition and equipment
acquisition for cheer programs. Responsible for all
cheer competition compliance
and rules issues. This is a Board position.
Concessions
Coordinator
Oversees home game concessions and gate admissions
operations. Responsible for
the program's concessions trailer. Responsible for
acquisition of all concession
items. Works with Treasurer to establish concession
pricing. Responsible for set
up and break down of concession area. Responsible
for maintenance of concession
equipment. Works with President on liaison issues
concerning local health
officials. Chair's the Board of Director's Banquet
Committee. This is a Board
position.
Apparel
and Booster Coordinator
Oversees the acquisition of all "retail" apparel
sold/ordered.
Responsible for acquisition of coaching apparel.
Ensures the integrity of
organization's trademarks. Works with Treasurer to
establish apparel pricing.
Secures photographer for team and individual
photographs. Works with Board of
Directors to establish and run "picture day."
Handles trophy and award
issues.
Game Day
Volunteer Coordinator
Oversees parent/friend volunteer schedule for game
days. Ensures that each game
day there are enough volunteers for the following:
(all day) concessions, (all
games) gate admissions, (all day) apparel tent,
50/50 raffle, chain crew for all
games, pre-game day set up (early morning set up of
concessions, game fields and
trash cans); monitoring of trash cans, post-game day
clean up and break down.
Game and
Practice Schedule Coordinator
Serves as liaison with league to ensure that all
participants receive accurate
up to date information on game schedules. Ensures
that all practice schedule
information is accurate and up to date and works
with head coaches on all
scheduling issues. Coordinates communication of game
time changes with all head
coaches. Serves as a representative at league
meetings.
Field/Facility
Usage Coordinator
Ensures that all School Department/Town forms are
properly processed for
field/gymnasium usage in the Town's of Mattapoisett,
Marion, and Rochester.
Ensures that insurance forms are properly submitted
to appropriate town and
school officials. Serve as a liaison with all public
and private field site
representatives. Serve as a liaison with any storage
container or portable
lavatory vendor used by the league and will work
with the Treasurer to ensure
proper payment as necessary. Will work with the
President to ensure compliance
with local and state health ordinances and mandates.
Fundraising
Coordinator
Will coordinate all fundraising efforts on behalf of
the organization. Will
identify and work with the Game Program Volunteer to
secure the game program.
Will work with the Board of Directors to identify
and implement any
organization-wide fundraising activities.
Safety
Coordinator
Will work with local ambulance companies to secure
donated ambulance-time at
games. Will ensure that all team medical kits are
properly and fully stocked.
Will work with the Clerk on CPR and First Aid
issues. Will work with the
President on CORI/SORI compliance and be the
organization's primary coordinator
for background checks of coaches and team
volunteers. Will work with the
President to ensure compliance with local and state
health ordinances and
mandates.
Scholastic
Coordinator
Will work with the Registrar and manage the
organization's participation in the
Pop Warner Little Scholar's program. Will handle all
academic eligibility issues
throughout the season.
